The Saudi Arab News newspaper reported that the Saudi Deputy Defense Minister, Prince Khaled bin Salman, said on Sunday that the martyr Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri was assassinated by Iranian militias.

In a series of tweets, the minister accused the Iranian militias of assassinating Hariri in order to destroy his project which aimed at reviving Lebanon.

He added that “Hariri’s vision and his national project, which aims to achieve stability, prosperity and coexistence, will remain despite his departure and will fight sectarian militia plans that do not believe in the homeland or citizen’s dignity.”

Last Friday has marked 15 years since martyr Hariri was assassinated in an explosion in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
