MP Sethrida Geagea considered that “bringing down the president of the republic in the street is an unconstitutional and illegal step.”

“In this context, we are waiting for the president to personally take a historic position to resign and call for early parliamentary elections,” Geagea added.

In an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat, she explained that “the position of the Lebanese Forces party has never changed, no matter how the equations have changed at the internal, regional and international levels.”

Geagea pointed out that “the Lebanese Forces are always present regardless of who approaches or moves away from the party,” stressing that what is important for the party is to work to secure the interests of the people and achieve the supreme national interest, regardless of any considerations.
