Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, Deputy Head of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council, received Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Sahlawi, accompanied by Counselor Mishaal Al-Kuwari, on Tuesday at the Council’s headquarters.

Discussions reportedly touched on the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, and ways to bolster relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.

Sheikh Al-Khatib welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador and wished him success in his new mission and in strengthening the bilateral relations. Al-Khatib thanked the State of Qatar for its permanent support for Lebanon.
