State Security: Do not publish news without verifying its authenticity

The General Directorate of State Security – Information, Guidance and Public Relations Department issued the following statement:

“Based on the reference of the Attorney Appeals general in Nabatiyeh, Judge Ramzi Farhat, a patrol from the General Directorate of State Security raided Fares station in Nabatiyeh area, after social media circulating about storing fifty thousand liters of diesel.

After examining the station’s tanks and the bills related to the purchase of diesel, it was found that in July and August, the station received a quantity not exceeding ten percent of what was rumored, and it sold this quantity to water tanks and agricultural tractors, and its tanks contained only 700 liters of gasoline and 400 liters of diesel.

The General Directorate of State Security, through its insistence on carrying out its duties within the applicable laws, calls on citizens not to publish or circulate any news without verifying its authenticity.
