Syndicate of Money Changers in Lebanon praises rule of law situation

The Syndicate of Money Changers in Lebanon extended on Wednesday its thanks and appreciation to the security apparatuses and judicial authorities for the efforts they exerted in a bid to arrest the assailants who attacked Shams El Din Money Exchange Company in Tyre yesterday.

“In the wake of the armed attack against Shams El Din Money Exchange Company in Tyre city and the investigations launched by the security apparatuses to uncover the assailants, the Syndicate of Money Changers in Lebanon extends its thanks and appreciation to the security and judicial bodies,” the syndicate said in a statement.

The syndicate added that it “has faith” in a country governed by the rule of law and in its institutions, and praised the security forces for protecting money changers’ institutions and preventing destabilization in the country.

Shams El Din Money Exchange Company in the southern city of Tyre was attacked by gunmen yesterday. The Syndicate of Money Changers in Lebanon had appealed for the judicial authorities and the security forces to uncover the perpetrators and take stringent measures to protect the profession from attacks and encroachments.
