The Council of Ministers will hold its last session next Friday

The Council of Ministers will hold its last session, at 2:30 p.m., next Friday, at Baabda Palace, headed by President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun.

The Lebanese Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, announced on Sunday that “the elections passed with a minimum number of impurities, and the reluctance to participate in the elections was very small.”

Mikati gave “thanks to all those responsible for the elections that took place, from officials to poll chiefs. Every election has flaws, and the team was able to address them, and we came out with a great victory for the Lebanese state and the citizens.”

He expressed his hope that “these elections will produce a parliament cooperating with the upcoming executive authority in order to extricate Lebanon from the current crisis.”

Mikati pointed out that “with the resignation of the government, I hope that parliamentary consultations will not be delayed to save Lebanon.”
