A few days ago, the dollar broke the almost fixed margin, which ranged between 8,000 and 8,500 pounds in the past weeks

Lebanon is witnessing the worst economic collapse in decades, coinciding with the scarcity of the dollar and the loss of the local currency more than half of its value, in addition to the high rate of inflation, which put nearly half of the population below the poverty line.

With the high exchange rate of the dollar, the citizens ’purchasing power declined, and what made matters worse was the disappearance of foodstuffs and subsidized goods. All this pushed the Lebanese to take to the streets and raise their voices without even earning a deaf ear for the moment.
