Head of road transport’s Unions and Syndicate in Lebanon, Bassam Tlais, commented in a statement on “the repeated amendment of fuel price installation schedule, saying: “Regardless of the reasons behind the fuel price’s decisions that are issued from time to time, we ask the new government, and in the person of its head, Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and based on his commitment with us, to proceed with the agreement that was discussed with him, to support the sector in order to reduce the burdens on the driver and the citizen.

He added: “therefore, we hope to immediately start implementing this agreement so that we, with His Excellency the Minister of Public Works and Transport, can issue the final tariff for land transport.”
