Head of Supermarket Owners Syndicate Nabil Fahed revealed in a radio interview, that with last week’s raise in dollar exchange rate, there will be a new adjustment that includes an increase in prices in the next two days.

Fahed said that the expected additional increase in prices is due to two reasons: the high transportation cost that suppliers will take into consideration, and the supermarket costs, regarding the increase in the diesel price needed to generate electricity.

He pointed out that solutions and economic plans are available, but they need to be implemented, noting that the adoption of the financing card, which was talked about a year ago, should have been into effect, in order to keep pace with the gradual lifting of subsidies.
