Vaccination campaign kicks off at Lebanese University

The Minister of Public Health and the Minister of Education and Higher Education in the caretaker government, Dr. Hamad Hassan and Tarek Majzoub, launched a vaccination campaign for professors, employees and students at the Lebanese University, at the “Pierre Gemayel University Complex” in Fanar. The campaign took place in the presence of the President of the Lebanese University, Professor Fouad Ayoub, Dean of the Faculty of Science Bassam Badran Hasna Bou Haroun, Dean of the College of Health, Director of the College of Science – Branch Two, Elie Haj Moussa, Director of the College of Health – Branch Two, Christian Saliba, and a team of nurses.

Professor Ayoub affirmed during his speech: “As with preventive measures that are continually being taken in light of the pandemic, and representing a responsibility and a duty to maintain community safety, the vaccination process is a choice and a duty that we are supposed to comply with as stipulated by the World Health Organization. This included ensuring health, social and economic security and implementing human rights.”
