The black dollar exchange rate recorded this evening, Monday, May 16, 2022, a significant and unjustified increase, reaching 29,200 Lebanese pounds for purchase and 29250 Lebanese pounds for sale.

The black dollar had ranged at noon today between 28350 and 28400 Lebanese pounds per dollar.

The counting of votes is still going on, waiting to know the final results of Lebanon’s 2022 elections, while some economists had previously expected that the dollar would soar after the elections.
