Waste Management company ‘Lavajet’ to stop collecting garbage in Tripoli until demands met

Lavajet, the company that provides waste management services in Tripoli, decided to halt operations and stop collecting garbage from the cities of the Union of Fayhaa Municipalities starting from next Monday 12/27/2021.

The company said in statement: “Lavajet company’s demands addressed to the concerned authorities have not been met, as it didn’t received its financial dues since nine months, nor its contractual problem solved by working for about three months from outside the contract, which has become a huge burden on the company In terms of securing the salaries of workers and work requirements.”

The statement added: “Following many appraisals to the competent authorities, which did not find a listening ear, the company decided, unfortunately, to halt operations and stop collecting garbage from the cities of the Union of Fayhaa Municipalities next Monday on 12/27/2021.

Therefore, the company apologizes to all residents of the cities of the Union of Fayhaa Municipalities for not removing the waste and the inconvenience it may cause, asking them to understand the matter and the sacrifices and burdens incurred by the company under these difficult circumstances.
