The Head of the Parliamentary Health Committee MP Assem Araji said, “The number of Covid-19 infections are likely to soar in the coming days,” similar to what happened with the rest of the countries due to the “Omicron” mutant.

He added: “We hope that the country will not experience serious infections, because the number of beds in hospitals is limited, therefore we will be in big trouble, and if this number soars, we will be facing a dangerous reality.”

Araji indicated, in a television interview, amid this reality, we will reserve the possibility of taking further action, noting that imposing lockdown is the worst case scenario but it is under study.
