After his meeting with President Aoun, Ismail Haniyeh, Head of Hamas’ Political Bureau, said: “We discussed the Palestinian developments and expressed gratitude to the President and to Lebanon, with its political components, for the continuous support for the rights of the Palestinian people.”

“We reiterated our political principles relating to our loyalty to repatriation and rejection of resettlement, as well as the fact that the Palestinian people reside in Lebanon as guests, and the Palestinian camps will always be an element of stability for Lebanon,” Haniyeh confirmed.
