“We will not lift drugs’ subsidies,” Hassan confirms

The Caretaker Health Minister Hamad Hassan affirmed that “the bulk of mutant mutations that the world is witnessing have reached Lebanon, but the number of cases is not significant yet, but do pose a threat.”

“The mission of combatting COVID-19 would have been tough without the assistance of Active Political Forces,” Hassan remarked. “We cherish the private sector, but it must bear its responsibilities.”

He also explained that “Government hospitals are well-equipped to receive COVID-19 cases, because the sufficiency of the medical and nursing staff who are fighting against the pandemic is sufficient to confront any disease or any health risk.”

“The Governor of the Banque du Liban has begun signing the bills for the hospitals, and it is believed that he will announce the continuance of drug support on Wednesday,” he said. We will not eliminate medical subsidies, and we will continue to pursue those who deal in medicine to the competent justice, while hospitals will continue to execute their duty and receive people.”

“Every Lebanese is proud of the global accolades for the morals of medical workers in Lebanon,” Hassan said.
