Fadi Abou Chakra, Representative of Fuel Distributors in Lebanon, said in an interview with “Al-Nashra” in the “Evening Bulletin” that “tomorrow we will hold a meeting as distributors to discuss solutions addressing the fuel crisis we are witnessing today,” adding that “the solution is expected soon, and I am 60% optimistic about that. However,  I am afraid that it will not last.”

“Any decision that the state wants to take in order to reassure the people, whether regarding lifting subsidies, reducing them, or otherwise,” Abou Chakra said, “we ask you to take such measures immediately because we, station owners and distributors, can no longer tolerate this crisis,” adding that “we will start distributing fuel to all stations as of tomorrow.”
