A short while ago, the meeting between Patriarch Rahi and Georges Qordahi ended in the patriarchal edifice in Bkerke, which lasted for about 40 minutes.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Qordahi left without making any statement to the media.
Qordahi had arrived earlier at the patriarchal edifice, to meet the Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi.
Answering a question about his intention to resign, Qordahi said “Let us see what His Beatitude, the Patriarch, wants”
According to the Sawt Beirut International correspondent, the coming hours will bring a radical change at the level of the official political direction.
During his meeting with Qordahi, Patriarch Rahi stressed the need for Lebanon to adhere to international relations with its Arab brothers, and the need to maintain neutrality.
Sources familiar with the meeting told Sawt Beirut correspondent that Qordahi is not adhering to the Ministerial position, but this matter is heading towards a broad political discussion.
