The “white shirts” group emphasized that “the authorities are killing patients after lacking for more than 350 essential medicines for chronic diseases”.

The group ‎said in a statement, “To this day, we do not know the reason for losing this huge amount of medicine. We are fed up with the excuses the authorities are giving to us. Sometimes the importers are blamed, others bank for not transferring dues to the importers, and sometimes the authorities ‎blame the smugglers without doing any efforts in arresting them, adding to that other excuses upon ‎which the helpless state relies on”.

The group reminded that “The medical supplies are almost missing. We resorted to the stocks we previously had”.

“The first solution is to withdraw all confidence from this failed state, and today we must proceed with a parallel project through medical centers, private and government hospitals, in cooperation with the Lebanese Army, because the latter is the only institution in all state funds that has established a health policy in which it was able to protect its elements through external ‎funds. The army is the only institution that has internal and external credibility”, the group said.

The group stressed that “The white shirt doctors call all hospitals in Lebanon for a complete strike on Thursday, June 10, 2021 between 12 and 1 pm”.
