The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in Egypt Tarek El Molla said that he expects the Egyptian gas will be pumped to Lebanon within a few weeks or months.
El Molla added during a television statement: “We have presidential orders to put our efforts to solve the problem that Lebanon is facing. We will provide Lebanon with natural gas to be able to operate power stations, especially Tripoli power plant, to secure electricity to large areas across Lebanon.”
El Molla said that areas connecting Syria and Lebanon will be reviewed in order to export the Egyptian gas, which will be pumped to Lebanon within a few weeks or months.”
