Upon each assignment, the former ambassador, Nawaf Salam, is named again due to his transparent biography. However, Salam has another opinion regarding his nomination as prime minister-designate, especially in light of the current crisis that Lebanon is suffering from.

Sources close to Salam say that he is very close to the rebellious Lebanese people, and he looks daily to their sufferings and to the crisis they are living in.

The sources added to “Sawt Beirut International”, that Salam has solutions for Lebanon. However, he did not share it with anyone because he believes that he cannot cooperate with the ruling class, as it buries any solution that could solve Lebanon’s crisis.

Salam refuses to be called a president-designated by the Free Patriotic Movement, and he was very upset when the movement took the initiative to nominate him, refusing to become a mailbox through which Basil sends letters to Hezbollah, that choose to name former Prime Minister Najib Mikati.

The sources indicate that what harms Salam the most, is being nominated by a movement that is corrupted and plunged the Lebanese into darkness, and squandered billions on a sector with suspicious deals.

According to the sources, Salam views Bassil as an obstacle to the process of revival in Lebanon, considering him among the bad system that led the country to collapse.

The sources confirm that Salam has a different opinion than the Free Patriotic Movement on the issue of Hezbollah and its weapons, especially since Salam is against the party’s weapons.
