Aoun advises the son-in-law: “Never give up Ministry of Energy!”

The same attitude, approach, and corruption govern the political activity of MP Gebran Bassil, the head of the Free Patriotic Movement. There is no reform, nor are there those who mourn, as if we are not in the middle of a crisis, as if the Lebanese pound is in its greatest situations and power is available 24 hours a day, as if 27 billion were not squandered during the era of the Free Patriotic Movement’s subordinate energy ministers.

Special sources told Sawt Beirut International that Bassil left nothing but offering it for sale in the Presidency Bazaar and accepting the nomination of the head of the Marada Movement, Sleiman Franjieh, and in return for the high ceilings that he put forward in the framework of the negotiations taking place between him and Hezbollah, such as decentralization and the trust fund. Bassil is going to give up one of these conditions, but not for free.

According to sourcesn, Bassil returned to the same tune as he adhered to the Ministry of Energy. Yes, the Ministry of Energy, which the Free Patriotic Movement failed for decades to control and still is. Yes, the Ministry of Energy, which cost the state treasury billions of dollars, and as a result, Lebanon was plunged into total darkness, thanks to the covenant!

Sources also confirm that Bassil will hold onto the Ministry of Energy in the next government formation after the election of a president, in order to dominate and participate in any deal that may take place in the oil file, and this undermines any attempt to start implementing the reforms that countries demand, which means that Lebanon will not rise and the system of corruption will remain, if not worsen.

Sources also reported that Bassil is ready to sell everything in order to take control again of the Ministry of Energy, and this is based on a consultation that took place between Bassil and former President Michel Aoun, who advised him not to give up the Ministry of Energy, because Lebanon is on the verge of an oil renaissance, according to Aoun. There are important files that will be assigned to the Ministry of Energy, sources concluded.
