According to opposition sources, the head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, never left the opposition axis that helped raise him to his current size, and he understands that leaving this axis means returning to his natural, actual, and small stature. As a result, everything he done and is still attempting to achieve by supporting decentralization is to justify his continued participation in this axis. As a result, no matter how close he attempts to get to the opposition, Bassil’s methods are revealed, and his capitulation to Hezbollah is evident.

According to the Sawt Beirut International website, “the axis of demons won’t name a new president, and we will work hard to prevent the arrival of a president from this axis that destroyed Lebanon and its economy and harmed its relations with Arab countries, particularly the Gulf countries.” “It has become urgent to elect a new president as soon as possible and form a new government that sets a road map to implement reforms and stop the ongoing and continuous crises.”

“Whatever the outcome of this ongoing dialogue between Hezbollah and the movement,” the sources continue, “it will not produce results in terms of the presidential file, because the five-year statement is clear and there are specific specifications for the next president, and it is time to get out of the personal interests and political greed that Basil practices, and we must all pay attention,” sources concluded.
